Meet Shelby!

I've had a been of a weird life. I've always been the misfit in the small towns I lived in. While other kids had boyfriends, played sports, and worried about being popular, I read feverishly, sewed, and played with Barbies. 

As I got older, I tended to prefer the company of animals to friends and family. I left home early and dove right into "being accomplished." I graduated, became a teacher, went to grad school, taught college, taught overseas, traveled the world, went back to school (yet again), worked on a dairy farm and found myself utterly burnt out. 

It was in 2021 I realized I was late-diagnosed as a neurodivergent and suddenly all my burnout made sense. I was running myself into the grave to "be normal." Sewing and cosplay is my source for unpacking and discovering the self I spent 30 years hiding from the world.
